So, after 16+ years of working in the commercial industry in China, I’ve made the hard but necessary decision to return to Canada a couple of years ago…
… it was just better for the family.
As I steadily went on with the process of setting things back up, and (happily) being bogged down by the mundane daily minutiae, something slowly gnawed at the back of my spine. I was sitting on my butt for 2 years professionally!
Getting past my own ego is the hardest thing, since everything has to start from zero, again. It was a bit daunting to think about, but I have to get myself out there and start to make fresh connections again.
A friend of mine recently gave me a solid kick in the behind. “You need to be hungry again, you need to let go of who you think you are, and just get out there!”. He was right, I had became stagnant using the pandemic as an excuse.
New beginnings means new opportunities, and it’s high time for me to re-engage with who I am and re-affirm what I do.
That’s what this site is about… not much here yet, but hopefully things will slowly be populated with previous works, and the news/blog will also slowly fill with whatever randomness that comes into my mind.
